Every student has a big idea worth talking about, but can they?
Young Gates is hosting a three-month series of TED Public Speaking Workshops open to all students in Grades 4–8.
These workshops are designed to help each student discover and articulate their own ideas.
Important social, emotional, and academic skills will be developed throughout their journey.
From an Idea,
To an Expression,
To an Impact
While building their speaking, listening, research, writing, and thinking skills, students will also develop cultural awareness and empathy for others.
The series emphasizes Discovering, Developing, and Sharing on the path to becoming confident public speakers. After 12 weeks of practice and rehearsal, students will present their Big Ideas to their parents, professional speakers, and others.
Some students will be shortlisted for the Big Show.
The workshops start soon, and seats are limited.
